Information Posting and Use

This information system is intended to house only unclassified information.

All information residing on this system is owned by or licensed to the MITRE Corporation, except where noted otherwise. This site is used to collect information and experiences from multiple sources related to participants’ work with The MITRE Corporation to assist in effective collaboration and wider conformance.

Unless otherwise indicated, all information on this site is intended solely for the use of authorized users of the site. Information may not be downloaded or re-used outside of the stated collaborative purposes of the site without the permission of the MITRE collaboration site owner and, in some cases, the party who posted the information.

Uploading and posting of copyrighted material is prohibited without permission of the copyright holder and the permission of the MITRE collaboration site owner.

The MITRE Corporation bears no responsibility for the content of any messages, documents or other information posted by individuals not employed by MITRE. However, The MITRE Corporation retains the right, which it may or may not exercise, in its sole discretion, to review, edit or delete any materials which the MITRE Corporation deems to be inaccurate, illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

Privacy Policy

MITRE respects the privacy of its collaboration site users. This privacy policy explains the types of information collected from site visitors, and how MITRE uses it.

Information Collected from E-mail, Web Forms, and Collaborative activity

When users apply for an account on this collaboration site, we collect identifying information including mailing address, phone number, company affiliation, and e-mail address. The user’s name, sign-on ID and e-mail address are visible to all participants in this collaborative space. Access to all other personal information is limited to MITRE collaboration site owners. Your personal information may be used only for membership records and to maintain the security of this system.

When users upload documents, participate in discussions, or otherwise collaborate in this space, the action is recorded and logged and can be traced to the user. User posting activity is visible to all authorized users in the collaboration space.

When users subscribe to e-mail alerts, that information is logged. Collaboration site owners have the ability to set alerts on a user’s behalf, to view alerts that have been set, and to delete e-mail alerts.

Information Collected Automatically

When users visit this collaborative site, the Web site server logs basic information about each visit. We process this information monthly via an automated software tool to identify any site performance issues, popular sections and content, and other important site characteristics. This information identifies you personally and may be used to judge the frequency of site use and the value of certain information on the site.

Log data is retained for a minimum of 90 days.

Users may contact MITRE by postal mail, telephone, or electronically, using contact instructions appearing on the footer of each page or on the public Contact Us page. MITRE may share the information that you provide to us via e-mail within the corporation to respond to your queries, but will not provide information to anyone outside of the corporation unless required by law to do so. We will never share your information with a third party for any commercial purpose.

External Linking

Users may through hypertext or other computer “links” on the collaboration site gain access to other sites on the Internet which are not a part of The MITRE Corporation’s web pages or the collaboration site. The MITRE Corporation assumes no responsibility for any material outside The MITRE Corporation web pages which may be accessed through any such “link”.

THE MITRE CORPORATION MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE ACCURACY, CAPABILITY, EFFICIENCY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SITE OR ANY OF THE INFORMATION OR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES MENTIONED IN THE SITE.
